Hey. Jonathan and I went wedding ring shopping today. Didn't take us long. A few months ago, we were browsing, getting an idea for what each other liked, and there was the two colour gold ones, with the strip of white gold in the middle. Jonathan decided then that he didn't like those rings, but today, we were looking around, and he decided he liked them afterall. So I spent £230 on two wedding rings for us both (very much cheaper than the engagement ring he bought me).
When we got back from town, I got a call from my mum, telling me she'd bought us an engagement present, and reminded me about my wedding shoes (that I have yet to buy, and need to get before my wedding dress fitting). Someone had told me that NEXT do wedding shoes, so I looked on their online store. I found some shoes I liked, but couldn't decide between them, and thought I'd buy them both, and see which I liked better once I'd tried them on. So I put them in the online shopping basket, and proceeded to the checkout, and it appeared I needed to register. So, I registered, and there was this check point that said "sign me up for an account, and send me a catalogue, charge me £3.50" So I thought nah, don't want that, and left it unchecked. Clicked OK, and it turned out that I HAD to check that box! So I thought I'm not having that, and phoned up their national number. Well, to cut a long story short, I had to open an account, under the premise that it was closed as soon as the goods were delivered. Not only that, but I couldn't use my switch account to pay for the items, I had to use Jonathan's credit card to pay for them. Grrr. Why couldn't I just pay for the items I wanted without having to jump through hoops and sign my life away at the same time?
Anyway, I'm getting the shoes delivered tomorrow sometime, so we'll see if I like them, or if I have to keep shoe searching. I can't wait to go for my dress fitting. It's going to be so exciting.
I keep having dreams now, about the wedding. I dreamt last night that I had this gorgeous red wedding dress! And I also dreamt that I forgot the bubbles for the confetti replacement. So I was driving this lorry around, (even though I can't a car, let alone a lorry!) with our photographer (!) and the long and short of it is that we got the bubbles, and Jonathan also surprised me with a beautiful new 3 piece suite in the back of the very lorry I was driving (although I swear it was a Safeway lorry), and a new bed, although it was a sofa bed... oh well, the thought was there!
A few months ago I had a dream where my veil was all wrong, it was like a petticoat or something, and looked absolutely dreadful. I keep having all these wedding dreams. Less than three months now!!! Goodness, that makes it sound so close! I'm sure I'll have it all planned by then... I hope! Eeeek!
