Wedding Venue number 5

Venue viewing number five went well today. It has moved into the number one spot. Venue number five is a gorgeous renovated barn, with a beautiful courtyard, set in the middle of nowhere. We saw it all set out for a wedding, with the tables set for the meal (the menu is prepared by Antony Warrel Thompson by the way)... yes, it's very impressive and beautiful. Quaint and pretty. There was a marquee by the courtyard, which was also nice, but we'll have to investigate prices. It was a lovely venue, very nice indeed. An idea we might steal that we saw set up was that the name places were stones with people's names on them. An absolutely brilliant idea! Very effective indeed.

So yes, we've found somewhere that looks very promising, with no ridiculous things like you've got to have at least 70 adult guests eating at the sit down meal at £45 a head. We can have as few people as we like at the meal, up to 100, but it doesn't have to be as much as that.

So yes, I'm feeling positive. And they've got an availability chart on their website, which shows us that the 7th May 2005 is available! In fact, 7th May 2004 is also available. ;-) Not that we'd get everything organised by then. :-)
