That special day.

Wow. Not updated in almost a month. Must remedy that. There's not a lot going on in my life really. Other than I know who my bridesmaids will be (if all of them accept).

I've asked Helen (whose birthday it is today... go say Happy Birthday to her), and she accepted the position of maid of honour. I've asked Sam and Jenny, the twins, and to be honest, their mum was more ecstatic than they were. When I asked her if the girls would like to be bridesmaids, she started squealing and hugging me lots.

They'll be nine by the time we get married. How time has flown. And what a nice age to be a bridesmaid. They'll remember it for years, as opposed to if they were bridesmaids as toddlers. I've also picked out a dress I like the look of for mine, and we've been teasing Helen that as maid of honour, she'd have to have a "special" dress. :-) Heh.

My flowers are being done by my mum, my dress by one of the Queen's tailoresses (a friend of my mum). And maybe my Dad could do the photos. ;-) (Only joking)

We do have a date, although we've not booked anything yet. Saturday 7th May 2005. That's about 18 months away. And I'll be 21 going on 22. Is that young to be getting married? Even if it is, I don't care. I've been with this guy for two and a half years, been engaged for two years, and I love him to bits. He will be a wonderful husband and father, and I'm looking forward to the future and in planning our perfect day in celebrating our love together with our close friends and families.

We've not organised much yet, but there is time.

When I think of what's happened, and where I've come from, I'm amazed. I am so thankful for being able to come through the tough periods of my life with people who cared about me by my side. I'm aware how hard it must have been for these people to understand what was going through my head, and now, here I am, planning for my wedding to my lover, my companion, my best friend.
