I had my hen night last night. It was soooo much fun. I thought it might be a little dull (sorry Helen... I don't mean it the way it probably sounds), with only six people, three of which were over 40, as I couldn't get hold of my old school friends, but I was absolutely thrilled with how it turned out, and it was so comfortable and funny, because I was with six of the women who are most important in my life.
I even met Andy Summers from the band "Police". Well, that's who he said he was. Even though he was drunk and creepy, and we had to get one of Helen and my old school teachers (who was also at this pub) to rescue us when we decided to leave.
We had a gorgeous meal (I had roasted lasagne, followed by profiteroles), and generally had a good old laugh, especially when some guy walking past was concentrating more on looking at me in my gorgeous get-up than in keeping his pint of beer level... We went to Rochester for the evening, my nan got snogged on more than one occasion... and we had some guy serinading us for half an hour, which eventually made us want to find another pub to have some drinks in. We found one with a live band, who were going to sing Road to Hell in dedication to me, but didn't.
All in all, a good night, especially for my nan, who got hit on more than the rest of us combined!
Six days til the wedding. Arghhhhhhh! :D
