Silver Linings

Now things at work are getting interesting, if not annoying... There's been a thing where the powers that be have decided that things need to be done about managing the day, as our line manager isn't always in. They had an absolutely BRILLIANT idea (word in capitals is the height of sarcasm), which is totally going to work.... but of course, they won't listen to us, those that actually have to carry it out. It's always like that though, everything that involves us is never run by us. Ideas are provided by those that never have to act them out. We are all getting so annoyed, and are all feeling so unappreciated.

I joke about us all going in on Monday with a letter for the boss, but part of me is serious. Part of me wants to do it. And to see their faces when they realise they have to find 5 people in a month. Which when these 5 realise that all five of their previous people have left within days of each other, they might change their minds...

Well, they say that every cloud has a silver lining, and the silver lining here is that the isolation I have felt the past week or so is discipating, as we are all in this together, and all have the same problem, however, although the others are being made to do this, I am not, because I am not qualified and do not feel comfortable doing what they want us to do. Luckily, they feel this is a valid reason, but it still doesn't help the others who shouldn't be able to be forced to do what these people want us to do. It's a very hard situation, but we're all against it, so in some ways it's good, as it's brought us together as a team.

Now I think I'm going to have a big glass of Bailey's.
