Appointments

Ahhhhh. I'm back again, from the second "interview", which again was more of a chat. This guy had vacancies in Special Needs, and one possibly in mainstream within time, but the person hadn't handed in her resignation, but was looking for jobs.

He reckoned I'd be better off at the other school, and I'm inclined to agree. So I'll phone up them tomorrow and ask them a few things, try and ask them about money too. Since I found out what this man wanted, and that I'd probably go with the other school, I asked him what sort of salary I'd expect as a classroom assistant. Needless to say, it's not much. He reckons 38-39 weeks a year, and at 32 hours a week, and at £6 an hour, I calculated about £8,000 a year. Yes, pathetic, seeing as a sizable chunk of that will disappear due to the evil tax man. Just under £700 a month, without tax. Haha, so what's that? £600 a month?

I might get more, seeing as I'm doing more than an LSA (learning support assistant) job, but less than a teacher... who knows, £6.50 an hour? That would raise my salary by over £700. No use hoping, I've just gotta find out what they're gonna pay me. ;-) Money..... ;-)

Assuming I get £600 a month after tax, I could probably stick say, £500 a month into savings, it'll add up quickly. If I do that every month, I'll have the best part of £6,000 in savings in a year. Plus interest. Mmmmmm. ;-) I like interest. Heh.

Anyway, enough money talk... she said to phone her tomorrow, but as I know an answer now, should I phone her today?

Anyway, the guestbook's working again, I know it wasn't earlier, but it should work now. If it doesn't, send me a note or something and I'll get Jonathan to fix it again. ;-) He's such a darling. :-)

Oh! And I went to the doctor's to ask about contraception, and to try and register... we are in the catchment area, but we can't register for another couple of months as one of the doctors is sick. Or something. But there is a family planning clinic in Aylesbury, by the train station. Now if only I knew that yesterday... :-)

Still, I've got another week (only a couple of days before the pack runs out, but then I've got a week pill free before I start the non-existent next), so I can phone up, and arrange something. Because I'm too lazy, and my feet ache.

Gah, I wouldn't even be up at this time usually! I'm so lazy sometimes. Heh.
